Review: Mindhunter Season 1 Episode 3 “Episode 3”

With immaculate production design, ‘Mindhunter’ continues to delve into the notion of perspective with a sequence of thrilling interrogations and interviews that are potently written. They provide a compelling sense of how the characters’ actions are coming from different sources of motivations, as the actors clearly cement intention, such as the optimism and eagerness of Ford to expand the academic side of the FBI being compared to the more restrained interest of Tench. The introduction of Carr should further install this vision, gaining an outside perspective to contrast with the FBI mentality. The episode doesn’t quite boast the same level of intellectual intrigue, as the show continues to position its characters to forming a proper programme, but the show’s eloquent pace and purpose should persist. 9/10
