Review: Ozark Season 1 Episode 3 “My Dripping Sleep”

Although the pacing is a little all over the place, with the FBI’s storyline and approach to the Byrdes abrupt, and a stack of stories to interweave, this episode continues excellent character work. Marty’s stoicism that conflicts with his adventurous, risk-taking ambition is presented as an internal struggle as well as an external one. It reveals a glimpse past the walls and further grounds the situation his family is in. This also sets up a well orchestrated dynamic with Ruth, a balance between his economic, organised approach and her willingness to adapt. 8.2/10
