Review: Preacher Season 2 Episode 4 “Viktor”

Splintered and trying too hard to promote absurdity, ‘Preacher’ finds itself mixed up by numerous issues it faced in its premiere season. There is little coherency or link between these stories, and though I am sure these elements will come to light eventually, as Eugene and Tulip’s subplots are not nearly as interesting as Jesse’s hilarious and compelling search for God which became truly intriguing in this episode, the show feels weighed down. It was also an odd choice to nearly completely ignore the events of last week and the mysterious organisation lurking about. Luckily the episode ends on an exceptionally directed action sequence that allowed the show to retain some sense of energy. 7.4/10
