Review: Sense8 Season 2 Episode 8 “All I Want Right Now Is One More Bullet”

The individual trials the characters face have always grounded this show within a larger culturally thematic discussion, with insight into who they are beyond their efforts in supposedly saving themselves. Yet this dialogue can often clash with the overarching story which contains less depth but more intrigue. Pulling the two together with Wolfgang this episode should have been excellent, considering it allowed for some action that show briefly delivers upon. However, I found myself being jolted between Wolfgang as an underdeveloped character, arguably the least developed of all the senates, Lila and her mission, and the larger group’s efforts. The convoluted notion of Lila’s aims made this feel more like an excuse for a dramatic sequence than a proper culmination of storytelling. This is an issue this show has often found itself with, the desire to go big, but lacking the foundations. 6.8/10
