Review: Sense8 Season 2 Episode 7 “I Have No Room In My Heart For Hate”

The global, intercultural enterprise that ‘Sense8’ endeavours to unfold continues to be illuminating, with stellar cinematography and distinctive cultural atmospheres that resonate well within the characters. Yet, this episode again suffers due to its awkward structural formula and inability to contain its dialogue, often going off into meaningless discussions about love, justice and humanity, that while potent in themselves, feel unnecessary in regard to the show’s wider stakes. A number of the individual stories here do cross-over nicely and have a global repercussion, while the overarching BPO story develops nicely. But ‘Sense8’ needs to do more to distinguish each episode or provide something ‘new’ cause it does seem to be a series of repeating ideas just told through differing characters. 7.3/10
