Review: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 3 Episode 10 “Kimmy Pulls Off a Heist”

This episode of ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ directly tackles the obscurity and necessity of many of its storylines, with the writers initially setting up another meaningless filler with Titus and Kimmy, yet eventually highlighting that these sideshows represent the lack of meaning Titus feels his life has. Titus has put his life on hold for Mikey, never progressing his career, but sitting back and becoming a supporting player. Kimmy may be relegated to following Titus along on the journey, but this episode surprised me in how crucial it ultimately turns out to be for Titus. Furthermore, its commentary on corporate capitalism, patriotism and perspectives may be slightly stereotypical, but it has impact and feels exceptionally timely. It was also great to provide such narrative development for Jacqueline and, like Titus, present her with some purpose. This episode is also incredibly funny and benefits from quick, but still involving direction. 9.2/10
