Review: Bloodline Season 3 Episode 5 “Part 28”

There is a tone of unwilling acceptance set throughout this episode that is quickly disrupted by Kevin’s actions and the pressure for him to ‘behave’ for Roy. It is repetitive and does at times feel contrived in pushing Kevin down a specific path that will ultimately hurt him, as the ending suggests, but at least it feels true to character. John also finds himself in a place of stagnation here, as his bullish demeanour continues to be reinforced as he circles the outside of morality. For ‘Bloodline’ to ultimately succeed, it needs to move its narrative along quicker and quit providing different iterations of the same darkening developments. 7.4/10
