Review: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 3 Episode 6 “Kimmy Is a Feminist!”

The episode’s potent commentary upon feminism and its need to justify everything to secure means of gratification is a well discussed critical perspective, yet one that becomes lost as Kimmy’s storyline is overshadowed. For Kimmy to gain any real development, more needs to be done to address her future than simply say she is in college. Sure, the audience is seeing her within a different social context, but it proves little that we didn’t already know. Jacqueline and Titus’ story is simply more funny and more important to the overall narrative. While I wish Titus was not relegated to simply supporting other characters, he is excellent in this episode, as Jacqueline finally takes the upper hand, even if it is with the help of others. 8.6/10
