Review: Master of None Season 2 Episode 7 “Door #3”

This is easily ‘Master of None’s’ most disjointed episode. As I was watching the episode I tried to think of what the thematic or narrative connection between the two storylines was, and while there were certainly similarities in terms of having to make a choice, the resolution was that both Peter and Dev got what they wanted. It’s a strange development seeming Peter’s storyline came out of no where. I did however, appreciate the greater comment upon American Film and TV culture, with Dev having to choose between continuing working on his show, or finding his own way. Additionally, the end did scare me with the thought the show would go down a more traditional romance, love triangle route, which I feel has been this show’s weakest element. 7.2/10
