Review: American Crime Season 3 Episode 8 “Episode 8”

This season narratively has been a mess, with convolution being created by the extensive list of storylines, characters, relationships and motivations to understand. However, this finale did bring forms of resolution to an extent I was not expecting. The end results may have been largely predictable, but the emotion and sense of togetherness achieved was powerful. Ultimately, this show depicts the restrictions of the justice system and its control over society, so it was nice for this episode to show the good it can do too, even if this justice came to characters we were never really allowed to care for or had been absent for a good number of episodes now. It is an interesting dynamic, one that reflects real life situations, and though not necessarily compelling, is certainly thought-provoking. 7.9/10
