Review: Sense8 Season 2 Episode 2 “Who Am I?”

Lana Wachowski manipulates a range of potent emotions, swirling them around in an almost cathartic manner that resonates through this episode’s sublime score and sense of culture. It promotes a powerful message of togetherness, that though not unique and certainly overly clear, provides the gel that keeps the stories together. It’s an interesting concept, as without this discussion of how someone is defined, the individual stories would fall apart, with none here necessarily compelling. The overall mystery/story however, is excellently intriguing, teasing the audience towards a gratifying ending. It definitely benefits from some contrived circumstances and some writing that over explains itself, but any substance added to the mythology is welcomed. 8.2/10
