Review: The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 13 “Bury Me Here”

I have had a lot of complaints about this show for seasons now, but nothing annoys me more than creating drama out of unnecessary, irrelevant and contrived circumstances. Unfortunately, that is purely what this episode is; a collection of idiotic, manufactured moments specifically crafted to position characters and change mentalities. Making matters worse, everything that happens here is not only predictable, but it is completely unneeded. If the writers hadn’t wanted to draw out the conflict, then the development of these characters could have occurred in a more logical, engaging and striking manner episodes ago. It is certainly exciting to see the direction this show is going in, and it helps that Lennie James and Melissa McBride are great actors, but this was another example of ‘The Walking Dead’ being driven only be advertising profits, and not from a true narrative perspective. 3.5/10
