Verdict: The Night Of Season 1 Episode 4 “The Art of War”

Some characters may make rather quick decisions that could have benefited from a deeper explanation, but overall ‘The Night Of’ remains a truly incredible show, one that is frightening in its realism, never sensationalising events for the sake of drama but creating tension through deep character development that has been cleverly revealed throughout the series to maximise its effectiveness while still making sure enough narrative progress occurs steadily., The acting also remains of top quality and though Jack’s eczema subplot takes up too much screen time, when the show focusses all its character towards the main case, it flourishes in its profoundness. 9.6/10
