Review: Outcast Season 1 Episode 8 “What Lurks Within”

‘Outcast’ is able to reveal elements of the mythology in a way that reflects the show’s central argument about faith and perspective, showcasing an incredible performance by Philip Glenister, whose character continues to become more complex, nuanced and interesting due to his evolving motivations that feel organic and not out of the blue.  It is this differing view of the show’s central premise of possessions that allows ‘Outcast’ to remain intellectually absorbing while still delivering thrills. However, while its nice to see Kyle as a father, giving variety to the character, his sister Megan’s subplot with Donnie seems totally irrelevant. 9/10
