Review: Preacher Season 1 Episode 6 “Sundowner”

Easily the best episode yet, ‘Sundowner’ begins with an excellent series of scenes that not only finally provide answers and mythology about the show’s central premise in a compelling and engaging manner, but contains a marvellously directed action sequence with vivid visual cues that take advantage of the show’s fantasy elements, unfortunately however, the episode majorly slows down afterwards, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it allows for some great development for Jesse and his wicked and morally blind path, but Tulip continues to have little to do, with her subplot distracting from the larger narrative. 8.3/10
