Review: Orange is the New Black Season 4 Episode 8 “Friends in Low Places”

Interweaving it’s storylines, OITNB definitely slows down in attempt to provide an in-depth examination towards many of its large ensemble of characters and though some work, with Piper’s downfall being superbly handled, allowing Taylor Schilling a phenomenal performance, and the prisons privatisation allowing for strong statements, others such as Aleida and Doggett’s are not as intriguing nor as potent, not providing the same level of consequence to the prison as a whole or the show’s thematic focus. 8.2/10
