Review: Orange is the New Black Season 4 Episode 7 “It Sounded Nicer in my Head”

With a clever development from comedy to drama, OITNB is able to transition its storylines from the initially harmless and humourous personal stories into darker, more violent representations of thematically rich subjects like racism and civil liberties, and though the episode begins slow with the same repetitive plot nature, its quick reintroduction of Nicky, Piper’s dramatic development (with a beautifully directed climax), Lolly’s informative and intriguing back story and Judy’s narrative all hit high notes. 9.3/10
