Review: Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 8 “No One”

“No One” repeatedly set up a number of major reveals and set pieces though none really paid off, with Arya’s beautifully directed chase sequence leading to predictable and rather confusing ending, providing little consequence to her overall story, Meereen continuing to be a mess of ideas with a lack of direction, and the Siege of Riverun also having little impact or overall influence upon the narrative, yet some of the more definitive¬†character moments and political decisions helped the audience reinvest in characters and increased the show’s high stakes tension, with some astonishing visual effects and the planting of a few seeds to unravel in the next couple of episodes, Game of Thrones certainly is driving towards its end goal, lets just hope that the climax is fitting. 7.8/10
