Review: Alice Through The Looking Glass

Choosing the silly and childish over the zany and weird, Alice Through The Looking Glass is an inferior sequel without purpose, delivering contrived, illogical material that lacks the absorbing, sophisticated and dark undertones of its predecessor , instead set upon a generic, simple perspective of good and evil with overly melodramatic performances, however, the visuals are beautiful and the film does attempt to discuss elements of feminism and time but only to a very basic and ultimately lackluster level.  2.5/5
