Review: House of Cards Season 4 Episode 6 “Chapter 45”

This is a peculiar episode, as it concludes leaving the audience in a state of satisfaction, having seen a phenomenally written character arc come to a form of resolution (or so we expect it has), some masterfully directed sequences that epitomise the show’s attempts at psychological and political imagery and an abundance of stand-out dialogue, but it also marks the end of the seasons driving point, its thrilling hook, and while this may be replaced by an even greater plot, the shows ability to be sharp, sudden and striking is fading due to repetitive material and a cast of characters that have been utilisied in every way possible. 8.3/10
